Congratulations to the 2021 Avila College DUX, Jocelyn Satya Graha.
A well-rounded and accomplished student, Jocelyn has embraced every opportunity presented to her throughout her Avila journey and enthusiastically contributed to the Avila community and College life.
As the 2021 College Music Captain, who plays both piano and oboe, Jocelyn’s involvement in music and encouragement of younger students was laudable, especially through the challenges of remote learning.
An articulate debater, Jocelyn was awarded College Colours in 2021 in Public Speaking & Debating, the Arts and Catholic Identity & Community. She assisted in the transition of Year 7 students as a Peer Helper and has been a long time Avila Ambassador.
A member of the 3rd place team in the RACI Titration Stakes Chemistry competition, Jocelyn’s strive for excellence in her academic studies has been exemplified by her ability to focus and to engage at a deep level with her learning.
Jocelyn plans to study Medicine or Biomedicine.
With an exceptionally busy VCE program, Emma embraced a heavy academic load, together with a Public Speaking and Debating leadership role, playing oboe and being a member of the Avila Aerobics National Championship winning team.
Throughout her time at Avila, Emma has been heavily involved in a wide range of extra-curricular endeavours, as well as being a conscientious and committed learner. Passionate about community building she has worked tirelessly, despite the challenges of lockdowns, in her role as Public Speaking and Debating Captain.
Emma hopes to pursue Science and Global Studies at university.
