Our Enrolment Policy
Avila College is a college which operates with the consent of the Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne and is owned, operated and governed by Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS). There is an agreed order of priority for enrolment in MACS schools, which must be followed in the enrolment policy and procedures. The first priority of Catholic schools is the provision of a Catholic education for Catholic children.
The priority parishes for Avila College are:
Holy Family, Mount Waverley, St Leonard’s Glen Waverley, St Christopher’s Syndal, Good Shepherd Mulgrave, St Justin’s Wheelers Hill, St Scholastica’s Bennetswood, Christ Our Holy Redeemer, Oakleigh East, Holy Saviour Vermont South, St Simon’s Rowville, St Luke’s Wantirna, Holy Trinity Wantirna South, St Jude the Apostle Scoresby and St Timothy’s Vermont.
Enrolment Process
- After families make an enquiry about enrolling their daughter at Avila College they will be sent information about the school and are invited to attend a school tour.
- They will then submit a Student Application Form along with a $150 non-refundable Application Fee, which the Registrar will process.
- Prospective students are invited to attend an admission interview with their parent so they can ask questions and we can get to know each other better.
- Enrolment Offers are sent out in October of the Grade 5 year.
- Families will then formally accept the offer of a place for their daughter by completing the Enrolment forms together with the enrolment fee of $900. This enrolment fee comprises a $450 debenture that is conditionally refundable upon completion of Year 12 and payment of all school fees and a non-refundable capital levy of $450.
