Opening and Blessing New Facilities

Avila College’s Welcome Building and Food Technology precinct was formally opened and blessed by Father Gerard McKernan, Sister Maria Lazzaro and Jacqui Giuliano. The official gateway to the school and state-of-the-art kitchen facilities represent another step forward in Avila College’s Master Plan and commitment to providing contemporary, functional and inspiring learning spaces for students and staff. Together with the physical structures, the artworks adorning the buildings were also acknowledged, including the Nano Nagle illustration by former student Cynthia Casteneda-Moreno, together with the cross and stained glass window.
