Avila students pledge to Close the Gap

We pledge to do this by educating ourselves and those in our community. We will actively raise awareness and acknowledge the barriers faced by Indigenous Australians and recognise indifference within Avila to build a cohesive community free from discrimination.

To follow in the words of Aunty Lilla Watson: “If you have come to help me you are wasting your time. If you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together.”
