This mainstream English course requires students to read and respond to Macbeth, complete a writing folio and study the use of persuasive language in the Australian media.

This course explores Macbeth and the Roman Polanski film representation of the script. Studens wuill complete analytical, review and creative responses to both forms of the text.

Write a concise and interesting paragraph which responds to images and text which you have viewed.

In Year 9, semester one you will focus on texts that range from War fiction to contemporary Australian fiction. Term one allows you to draw from your historical knowledge in Private Peaceful. While staying on top on news and current affairs with an 'Introduction to Issues' unit. For those of you who are looking for something to inspire your creative side your writing folios will allow you to expand your english skills while stretching your imaginations.
