Pastoral care is integral to life at Avila because of our concern for the
welfare of each student. Our Pastoral Care program aims to foster resilience
and responsibility within each student so she is equipped as best as possible
for life's journey.
Homeroom teachers and year level co-ordinators work closely as a team to
care for the needs of each student. They are supported by a counselling
team including a psychologist and pastoral care worker who are available
to students and parents.
Our programs of support are an important part of Pastoral Care, and are
highly regarded among students. Both students and staff volunteer for and
are trained to run these programs in order to assist others.
